29-Inch Wheel (29ers)

$8,699.99
The new Switchblade is built to handle all the mountains, all the time. It has a slacker head angle, steeper seat angle, increased reach and a longer wheelbase than its predecessor. Size-specific chainstays are tucked in and responsive but grow incrementally longer on larger frames. This translates to added stability at warp speeds while still maintaining the snap and pop that is ingrained in the Switchblade’s DNA. This new lighter version is light enough to pedal all day, but stout enough to run a Fox 38 without any worries. You can spin this rig up into the jagged high places, and it is burly enough, composed enough, planted enough and smooth enough to smash every line all the way back down, laughing the whole way. The latest iteration of this legendary machine features an incredibly refined dw-Link suspension that stitches together the pedaling response and agility of the Trail 429 with the battle-hardened, EWS-proven, big terrain suspension and handling chops of the Firebird. Switchblade Details: - Ultra-light, size-specific optimized full Hollow Core Carbon frame featuring leading-edge carbon fiber materials and Pivot's proprietary molding technology for a lighter frame and higher stiffness to weight ratio - Ultra-adjustable custom-tuned Fox Float X rear shock - Compatible with both 29, 27.5+" and 27.5+" rear/29" front (reverse mullet) wheel sizes without compromise thanks to the adjustable geometry - 142mm of supple-yet-efficient dw-link™ suspension travel featuring a vertically mounted trunnion metric air shock. - Large water bottle fits inside all size frames - Fits tires up to 29x2.6" or 27.5x2.8" wide - Progressive geometry with short seat tubes for long travel dropper posts. - Hassle-free, full-length, internal cable routing with Pivot's easy to service and silent Cable Port System - Equipped with a 44mm offset 160mm-travel Fox 36 Grip2 Factory and Performance Series forks - Flip-chip upper linkage mount for adjustable geometry in seconds - Fits riders between 5' and 6'7"

Tear Down The Sky The Firebird has one goal – to be the fastest. The fastest Enduro bike for our team riders, the fastest park bike, the fastest way to rail a top-to-bottom mega-descent – no matter whether that descent is in Moab or Morzine. Every aspect of our long travel 29er is tailored toward the pursuit of unbridled velocity, from its progressive, size-specific geometry to the tuned perfection of its dw-Link suspension. Whether you're chasing EWS podium glory or harboring a burning desire to tear down the sky in a supersonic plume of dust, the Firebird is your ticket to pure speed. The DNA of Velocity Modern geometry tailored for aggressive riding lets the Firebird rail at warp speed with battleship stability and laser precision. A relaxed head angle, long reach, and generous wheelbase are the key ingredients of high-speed composure. Balance and responsiveness are brought into the mix via size-specific chainstays and seat tube angles, ensuring that the Firebird remains nimble and responsive at all times, in all conditions. 165mm of ultra-capable dw-link suspension soaks up everything from jumbled moonscapes to massive G-outs and still snaps to attention and climbs with more authority than bikes offering inches less travel. Fast up, fast down. Fast. Not As Sweet As It Looks "Sweet bike, man." It's the ultimate lift-line compliment. In the case of the Firebird, that sweetness is only skin deep. Appearances can be deceptive. When you're coming in way too hot on the wrong side of the safe line, you want a partner with lightning reflexes and the dispassionate calm of a cold blooded killer. The Firebird's Hollow Core carbon construction cleanly disguises its psychotic side with a taut, sturdy, deceptively lightweight frame that calmly gets you out of the most gripped situations, in much the same way that James Bond can get his hands really dirty while keeping his suit perfectly clean. Super-capable suspension, planted handling, perfectly selected components, shaken, not stirred; the cocktail mix for blazing speed. Drink up! Pivot's full carbon frame feature size-specific ride tuning, leading edge carbon fiber materials and Pivot's proprietary hollow core molding technology to ensure that every rider from 5'2" to 6'9" has a bike that feels perfect and performs at the optimum level for their size. - Long-and-low geometry for a confident, and size-specific chainstay lengths refine the EWS Podium performance for different sized riders. - Phoenix DH-inspired longer dw-link maximizes the Firebird's rearward wheel-path for erasing square edge bumps and maximizing control. - 165mm of supple-yet-efficient dw-link suspension travel featuring a vertically mounted trunnion metric coil-over or air shocks combined with 170mm front travel for unrivaled suspension performance. - Equipped with a 44mm offset 170mm-travel Fox Factory and Performance Series 38 FIT Grip2 forks. - Ultra-adjustable Fox Float X2, Float X, Live Valve, and DHX2 coil rear shock options. - Custom tuned Fox Live Valve builds allow for layers of tuning to allow for a plusher than plush feel unmatched by any other suspension setup. - Adjustable geometry with a flip chip upper link mount. - Compatible with both 29" and 27.5" wheel sizes without compromise thanks to the adjustable geometry for 29" 27.5" or MX wheel setups. - Fits tires up to 29x2.6" or 27.5x2.8" wide. - 12 x 157mm Super Boost Plus rear spacing adds stiffness and control. - 31.6mm size seatpost match with the Firebird's short seat tube with deep insertions for longer travel posts. - Featuring the easy to find UDH rear derailleur hanger for peace of mind when traveling the world. - 1.5" headtube provides increased front-end stiffness and tracking. - Hassle-free, full-length, internal cable routing. - All sizes fit a water bottle inside the front triangle. - Pivot Tool Dock system compatible with mounts under the top tube and integrated into the underside of the frame.

A Fair Advantage Each weekend, at race venues the world over, there is one rider who gets hoisted upon the shoulders of the crowd and carried to the podium. Or at least leaves with a water bottle as their prize. And between each of those races, innumerable wannabes are putting in the hours on the rollers and in the gym all because they want to feel what it’s like to take the win. They know that to beat the pack every advantage needs to be acquired. That’s where the Blur fits in. We tapped into everything we’ve learned from years of making the highest quality carbon full-suspension bikes so that we could put as little (weight) as possible into the Blur frame. The trim frame and super-efficient Superlight™ suspension will be the key to translating your input into competition beating performances. But the Blur isn't just for the short track. Two water bottle mounts within the front triangle should keep chuggers happy. And the high quality fit, finish and carbon construction promises multi-day racers a worry free existence—meaning there's no fiddly proprietary parts that could leave you stranded in a Cape Epic or Breck Epic campsite. The carbon frame, while being light, is made to go the distance and as always the legendary Santa Cruz lifetime warranty and Rider Support team has got your back. The Blur isn’t guaranteed to make you a race winner but being the lightest, full-suspension carbon XC bike we’ve ever made (Approx 23lb as complete. Blur frame is 289g lighter than the previous model) it might be the difference between claiming first place...or just crossing the line.

From flat out on the trail to fully flat over a table, if you wanna send it the Bronson delivers. The 150mm-travel bike can go deep on any landing and the VPP™ suspension design makes sure that there’s no wasted energy when heading back up for another go. If you value style at speed or want to have fun feeling fast, then mixed wheels (29" up front, 27.5" out back) are the right choice. The larger front wheel provides more traction and stability that’ll make you feel more confident squaring off the turns and diving for the inside lines. But a 27.5-inch tire in the rear means this bike still loves getting up on the back wheel and into the air.

Saving weight means little without retaining an appropriate level of stiffness and responsiveness too. So we’ve taken all the acceleration and out-of-the-saddle sprint qualities of a carbon XC race rocket and fused them with a rear-end that still rails corners like a hardcore trail bike. This unique XC-trail attitude is also reflected in the geometry. The head tube angle (67.1 degree) and reach (425mm) is a little steeper and shorter than a Joplin to meet the demands of aggressive climbing, yet the Wilder’s seat tube angle is a touch slacker and the chainstays a little longer than a Joplin too in order to retain that familiar Juliana confidence on descents. And talking of chainstays, each chainstay length is specific to the individual frame size; meaning riders of every height enjoy the same handling and performance no matter what. Beyond the details, there are some bigger features that amplify this XC wild child’s abilities. Rapid rolling 29-inch wheels are paired with a 120mm fork to tame the feral lines and smooth the sketchiest of passing maneuvers. There’s even room for two water bottles within the front triangle for bigger training and racing days.

Reach New Heights When the TR beckons you to traverse above tree line and into unmarked territory, the Joplin is ready to take you there. With its 120mm of VPP travel and 29-inch wheels, it's the ultimate climbing partner to help you reach any summit. And when it's time to point downhill, its head tube angle and slack geo will navigate the most rocky terrain. Whether you're out on a solo adventure or a soul-lifting ride with friends, the Joplin will let you soar to new heights. SRAM Eagle Transmission - stronger, better shifting, wirelessly The next generation SRAM Eagle Transmission spec'd on our CC-carbon models is a radically robust, fully integrated, and interdependent wireless transmission. Built around the universal constant of the wheel axle itself, the hangerless attachment mounts directly to the frame for a stronger connection and the derailleur provides unprecedented reliability in case of impact. Shifting under load is made possible due to a combination of X-SYNC technology and cassette mapping, creating seamless shifts even during your hardest power output. The new AXS Pods are ergonomic and customizable, so shifting gears is light and intuitive. It's simply the most advanced transmission and nearly as tough as you are. Fit for smaller riders: Proportional Geometry and frame stiffness tune Chainstay length and seat tube angle are matched to the frame size (STA steepens and rear center grows as frame size increases) so that every rider, no matter what height, gets the same balance of geometry and handling characteristics. We tailor stiffness for every size to make sure every rider gets the same ride quality. We take out carbon material as the sizes get smaller where less stiffness is needed. Smaller riders require less reinforcement on frames, and that's remedied with our size-specific frame stiffness tunes.

The best handling trail bike ever. The 5010 is not just "the little bike" of our range. It makes even the most mundane trails feel like they're loaded with features to hop, skip, and jump over. It's like having super-skills at your fingertips. The 5010 has always been more capable than many expected but with the traction-gaining 29-inch wheel up front and even more refined suspension, the 5010 gives you a deft touch on the trails. Design Details: - VPP™ VPP™ suspension can be optimized to strike the right balance between pedaling efficiency and all-out bump-chomping prowess. That means wherever you see "VPP™" you know it's tuned to perform exactly how it should for the purpose it's designed for. - 130mm VPP™ travel Some call it short travel, others call it all the travel you'll need. This much travel isn't going to help shrug off the biggest, fastest rock gardens like a V10 downhill race bike, but it's going to feel like you've got a V10 under the hood of your motor when it comes to freeway freestyling miles. - Traction and big hits For 5010, we wanted to balance support and grip to maximize the bike’s descending and big-hitting capability. We started with a significantly less anti-squat (than the previous generation 5010) to provide sensitive, ground-tracking qualities and reduced pedal kick. - Support and playfulness We gave the 5010 a very straight, highly progressive leverage curve to give the rider plenty of predictable support, bottom-out resistance, and playful response. This means the travel is accessible and higher impacts aren’t as jarring as you’d expect from a short-travel bike.

Evolution of a Classic This latest iteration of the Trail 429 is evidence of our constant quest for peak performance. We’ve broadened its capabilities without sacrificing its legendary sharpness: slackening the head angle just enough, increasing the reach, and introducing a flip-chip to allow fine-tuning of the geometry toward either the rowdy or racy ends of the spectrum. All-Star Suspension Is it possible for a bike to be both razor-sharp and butter-smooth? Yes. The Trail 429 is proof. In order to wring every drop of potential out of 120mm, we’ve reworked the already stellar dw-link suspension to provide a more bottomless feel and allow for a greater range of tunability. The Trail 429 combines rocket ship pedaling performance with a plushness that genuinely feels like more travel than the numbers indicate. Product Details: - Refined geometry exemplifies the pinnacle of modern race-to-trail performance - New, more progressive dw-link® prioritizes pedaling efficiency yet still rewards riders with plush, controlled travel - 120mm rear suspension travel featuring a vertical trunnion mounted high-volume air shock delivers unprecedented comfort and tunability - Flip chip adjustability allows riders to tailor geometry for either spirited all-round handling or a more progressive and rowdy demeanor - Hassle-free, full-length, internal cable routing with Pivot’s easy-to-service and ultra-quiet Pivot Cable Port System - Fits riders between 4’10” and 6’7” with X-Small to X-Large size offerings - Pivot’s full carbon frame features size-specific ride tuning, leading edge carbon fiber materials, and Pivot’s proprietary hollow core molding technology to ensure that every rider from 4’11” to 6’7” has a bike that feels perfect and performs at the optimum level for their size - Pivot Tool Dock system compatible with mounts under the top tube and integrated into the underside of the frame

Our greatest hits compiled into one bike. Just hit play. If ever a bike resembled your most cherished mix tape compilation, the Hightower is it. Featuring our lower-link mounted shock design, updated, adjustable geometry, this "Engineering Best Of..." assembles some of our biggest design pleasers into one belter of a road-trip companion. The Hightower has been a does-it-all-well trail bike since its inception. More maneuverable than its longer-travel sibling, the Megatower, and more at home in the steep-and-chunky than its snappy cousin Tallboy, Hightower excels when the route covers 'all points in between,' and descents come courtesy of some big-ass climbs. The VPP suspension's lower-link-mounted shock creates a nearly linear leverage curve, meaning it mops up bumps of all sizes and maintains the kind of progressivity normally reserved for our V10 DH bike! 145mm of rear travel complemented by a 150mm front end gives Hightower just a bit more front and rear travel over the first generation model. Combined with a slacker 65-degree head tube angle, the Hightower still sits squarely in the Goldilocks zone, but with a touch more "Oh sh*t, get me out of here" capability when the porridge gets too hot! Balancing stiffness and weight savings in all the right places is a hallmark of all Santa Cruz carbon frames, and the Hightower flies the flag yet higher. The advanced composite chassis tracks well across all trail surfaces, holds a line, and is reactive to rider directions while isolating pedal-influenced inputs. The Hightower also has a bonus disc to heighten the experience: the flip chip. In the High setting, the BB height is a little higher for those tricky tech trails and/or when Plus sized tires are required. In the Low position, the shock rate is more progressive to provide additional bottom-out resistance. Whatever mood you're in, the tone of the Hightower can be adapted to meet your individual taste. And, speaking of taste, there's room for a water bottle inside the main frame and a threaded BB for convenience. There's refined cable routing for better shifting performance, simpler installation, and no cable rub. On top of that, there's a tailgate shuttle guard, downtube protector, shock fender, and noise-canceling chainstay protector to keep things quiet. The lifetime frame warranty and lifetime pivot bearing replacement policy assure you that the Hightower will keep delivering the hits for years to come.

The Blur isn’t guaranteed to make you a race winner but being the lightest, full-suspension carbon XC bike we’ve ever made, it might be the difference between claiming first place...or just crossing the line. The new AXS Pods are extremely ergonomic and highly customizable, so shifting gears is light and intuitive. It's simply the most advanced transmission and nearly as tough as the mountain itself. - XC or TR The TR builds feature more travel (115mm rear, 120mm front) slightly beefier tires (Maxxis Rekon), a full height adjust dropper post, no lockout remote, and larger brake rotors. It's not a trail bike, it's an XC bike for certain courses. - Light Carbon Frame The full-suspension Blur is lighter than most pre-race dinners you'll eat - 289g saving over the previous generation. - Reserve 28 XC wheels This is the lightest Reserve MTB rim (385g or 1367g complete). The rim bed is shallower and wider, meant for the newer generation of higher volume XC tires which are popular with elite racers. - Geo to match The Blur's chainstay length is matched to frame size so every rider, no matter their height, gets the same balanced geometry and bike fit. - Two water bottles Two water bottle mounts within the front triangle mean there's enough juice (or whatever electrolytes you choose) to keep the engine running. - No proprietary gubbins There are no fiddly proprietary parts that could leave you stranded in a Cape Epic or Breck Epic campsite. - Made to last many lifetimes The legendary Santa Cruz fit, finish, and quality construction put this into a league of its own. The frame, bearings, and optional Reserve wheels come with a lifetime warranty and any service is easy to do with our Rider Support pledge. - Chainguide The only thing you'll be dropping is your competitors. - Superlight™ Suspension Our priority with the Blur was to ensure that every kilojoule of a rider's energy is translated into forward thrust. That meant making something lightweight but also really efficient. This is the (super)lightest suspension we've ever made. Frame Sizing If you're on the cusp between the recommended height range of two sizes, the absolute best thing is to try to ride them both. At a minimum, check the stack/reach measurements on your current bike and compare it to the new model you are looking at to get an idea of a fit you are already comfortable with. If riding the bike is not an option, consider the following. Personal Preference A larger size frame will be more stable and will give you more room to move without upsetting the weight balance of the bike. The larger size will put the front wheel further in front of you, which gives the feeling of security and conversely, it will require more significant body movements when you WANT to shift the weight bias of the bike. Think hard about your riding style and how active/intuitive you want it to be vs. stable and speedy. You'll need to work a bit harder to muscle the larger bike around. Body Dimension Not all bodies at a given height are the same. If you have longer legs and a shorter torso than the average person your height, that may push you towards the smaller of the recommended sizes. If you're all torso and arms, most likely you'll want to size up.

The Mountain Bike, Distilled The newest version of the Hightower remains our greatest hits of engineering—now further refined and bottled into our most all-terrain of bikes. Big on wheels, medium on travel, short on fuss, this is the do-it-all model that does it over and over again thanks to a versatile balance of geo, spec and durability. If you're not looking for extremes, just something extremely good, the Hightower is your elevator. Engineering Details: - OUR ENGINEERS’ GREATEST HITS Not all frames are created equal. Hightower represents Santa Cruz’s greatest hits, showcasing our design, engineering, and performance prowess. - LOWER LINK ASSEMBLY The highly sculpted and optimized Lower Link (A) houses a geometry-adjusting Flip Chip (B) and beefy Pivot Axles (C) to virtually eliminate lateral flex. - UPPER LINK ASSEMBLY We only use the highest quality Enduro MAX or TPX sealed, radial bearings (A) and premium fasteners (B) for our linkage assemblies. They’re easy to properly torque and maintain, plus we offer free replacement bearings for life. - ONE-PIECE SWINGARM VPP suspension utilizes a one-piece swingarm that eliminates the need for pivots on the stays, creating a stout, bulletproof rear end for accurate tracking and superior performance. - C AND CC CARBON Santa Cruz offers two grades of carbon—top-end CC Carbon and value-minded C Carbon. The Mountain Bike, Distilled. The newest version of the Hightower remains our greatest hits of engineering—now further refined and bottled into our most all-terrain of bikes. Big on wheels, medium on travel, and short on fuss, this is the do-it-all model that does it over and over again thanks to a versatile balance of geo, spec, and durability. If you're not looking for extremes, just something extremely good, the Hightower is your elevator. Engineering Details: - Our Engineers' Greatest Hits Not all frames are created equal. Though they have the same stiffness and performance, CC is lighter and comes paired with a more premium suspension. - Carbon Mastery The Sag Window (A), Glovebox (B), and internal cable tunnels (not shown) demonstrate Santa Cruz’s expertise at combining practical function with carbon design and manufacturing artistry. - The Sum of the Parts In isolation, all these things are great—together with fanatical suspension tuning, a premium build spec, and a meticulous attention to detail, they’re transcendent. Featuring: SRAM Eagle Transmission - stronger, better shifting, wirelessly The next generation SRAM Eagle Transmission specced on our CC-carbon models is a radically robust, fully integrated and interdependent wireless transmission. Built around the universal constant of the wheel axle itself, the Full Mount hangerless attachment creates a far stronger connection to the frame and the super strong derailleur provides unprecedented strength. Shifting under load is made possible due to a combination of X-SYNC technology and cassette mapping, creating seamless shifts even during your hardest power output. The new AXS Pods are extremely ergonomic and highly customizable, so shifting gears is light and intuitive. It's simply the most advanced transmission and nearly as tough as the mountain itself. Hightower 3 Highlights: - VPP™ VPP™ suspension can be optimized to strike the right balance between pedaling efficiency and all-out bump-chomping prowess. That means wherever you see "VPP" you know it's tuned to perform exactly how it should for the purpose it's designed for. - 145mm VPP travel Looking for something good at climbing, downhill, and going round and round your local trails? Say hello to Hightower. 145mm in the rear paired with 150mm up front is your perfect combo. - Suspension sensitivity Compared to the last Hightower, we reduced the anti-squat in the first 40% of travel. This noticeably improves suspension sensitivity in both climbing and descending scenarios due to reduced chain influence on the suspension. - Suspension consistency Hightower's leverage curve is relatively straight, with added progression towards the end of the travel. This provides improved bottom-out resistance with more consistent damping and support. - Glovebox Place your ride essentials securely beneath a new high-quality latch and panel in the Hightower's downtube. The Glovebox comes with a fitted Tool Wallet and Tube Purse, tailored for the frame to keep your tools close to hand. - Sag window A window allows easier suspension sag and setup. The details are completed by a neat mud flap to protect the rear shock plus tidy cable routing within the frame and swingarm, and rubberized DT protectors to shrug off strikes. - Flip chip In the Low position, the shock rate becomes more progressive, particularly at the end of the stroke, and there’s some bottom-out resistance to be gained. In the High setting, the bike rides a little higher in its travel and supplies the rider with more mid-stroke support. Tweakers and finicky shredders can adapt the suspension feel to their needs and desires. - 29-inch wheels Hightower features fast-rolling, bump-easing 29-inch wheels front and rear. On high-end builds, we spec Reserve 30|HD carbon rims laced to premium hubs, which are built and hand-tuned in our Santa Cruz, Calif. factory. See Reserve 30|HD wheels.

The new Switchblade is built to handle all the mountains, all the time. It has a slacker head angle, steeper seat angle, increased reach and a longer wheelbase than its predecessor.
